Christopher Albanese

(PT, DPT)

Christopher Albanese, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy born and raised at the Jersey Shore. He graduated in the top 10 of his class from Howell High School in 2010, where he was also a varsity wrestler.

After sustaining injuries from action sports—including ACL reconstruction and ankle ORIF surgery—Chris developed a strong appreciation for high-quality rehabilitation. This experience ultimately led him to pursue a career in physical therapy, with a focus on helping others return to the activities they love.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Stockton University, graduating cum laude, while also working as a surf instructor with Summertime Surf School. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stockton University in 2019, with his final clinical rotation at COAST Rehab.

Dr. Chris has since worked in outpatient orthopedics, specializing in sports injuries, manual therapy, and mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine using the McKenzie Method. He is committed to ongoing professional development and is currently pursuing his MDT certification.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Chris is part of the medical pool for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, where he works with freeski and snowboard athletes on return-to-snow protocols both on and off the mountain.

He currently resides in Belmar, NJ. Outside the clinic, he enjoys surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, weightlifting, yoga, and travel. He also spends much of his free time walking his two dogs along Belmar Beach year-round.
